I think I handled it differently during the season. I was focused on the games and winning. Now that the season's over, I'm obviously going to keep track [of the battle for the Heisman], see how the other guys are doing.

We talked about ... the things that you're going to go through. We talked about the tough times. Both of their teams struggled their rookie years, and when you look at them now, it looks like it helped.

I'll find out with the rest of you. This draft is such an uncertainty, it would be kind of a jump to assume that I would be [No. 1] unless something is signed. I think we're at the point where negotiations are kind of done until after the draft. That would be my assumption. Obviously, I could be wrong.

He told me he made his decision a long time ago. So I felt good about that. I was the one they were going after the whole time.

This is a situation I've never gone through before, and something I hope I never go through again. It's not something I enjoy, not something I like. Hopefully, I'll learn from it, and we'll get past this.

I learn things every time I play, every rep. We're very young, especially on the offensive side of the ball. We are still trying to get a grasp of what we're running. We learn things every day on both sides of the ball. I think there are glimpses; I can see it. We've just got to get there and keep working through this.

I was trying to be involved as much as I could be, just in case I am ready. I want to be mentally ready. I certainly don't want to just focus on the knee. I need to be there working on the game plan so that I can understand what's going to happen on Sunday.

It's still a little swelled, a little stiff. It's going to depend on how I feel and how much I want to do on it. From what I've learned in my last two starts, I'm so excited because I feel like I'm learning that much more.

It's hard to put a date on it. A lot is just going to depend on not taking any steps back. It's not just a matter of pain. Even when I walk on it now, it feels different, very loose. It's been very frustrating.

I've got to do a better job of understanding the situation. We were in field-goal range, possibly a chance to get three points and make it a one-score game. And I was thinking that we had to make something happen now. It's something I've got to take away and learn from.

I don't think I would have gotten here if I hadn't won games in the past. That's how quarterbacks are ultimately evaluated.

He's my friend, obviously. I wish him luck, but other than that, I can't comment on it.

We're so young, we're going to get a chance to grow together. That's the nice thing. ...The game is exciting for me. Yesterday was a lot of fun. It was fun to be in the game, take it down to the wire. We're trying to enjoy these last two games and take as much from it as we can.

I know I can be successful at this level. I know I can play here. ... The goal is to pick yourself back up. To persevere through it.

He just has so much knowledge. Look at the quarterbacks he has been with.
