It was good to see Steve Reynolds and Brian Snider back in action. You saw how we threw them into the fire in that second game and they responded.

We want reform to pass. We've worked very hard to come up with reform that works, that reforms the abuses that have happened.

The first one is the big one. If you lose the first game, then you have to play four or five games in a row. Not many teams have that kind of pitching, so winning the first game is the biggest task.

It's going to be a tough task. West Jones swings the bats well and East Central is a tough club. I know Wayne County has a good team also, so nothing is going to be easy.

Andrew was really in control from the beginning. I tell our pitchers, the best pitch in baseball is strike one. I haven't had a chance to look, but I think Andrew was 0-1 on a lot of batters in the game.

We got the lead early and were able to hold on. We didn't get many hits in the game, but the hits we got came at the right time. We did some little things and that helped get us a win.

We had some guys step up big in that second half. We're still working on team chemistry and any time you can pull out wins like this, that only helps that process along.

We've got seven or eight guys on this team from last year's championship team. They're used to winning and they have a lot of pride. We're starting to come together as a team. It takes time, but we're getting there.

Winning the national championship is obviously huge. To win the national championship, you have to be a complete team. ... Our girls deserved it.

We're looking forward to it after they beat us in the first game. We're expecting a big, loud crowd. It should be fun.

We're trying to help our shooting percentage - get some shooters in here. To lose by three and shoot around 50 percent from the free-throw line - that's not going to get it.
