David (Noel) played great, and he continues to play well. It makes it so much easier on everyone else.

It was our best basketball of the year. We talked about being focused for 40 minutes.

For us, he was by far he was the best prospect in the country because of what he could bring us, and that was the inside scoring. I've never been one to prejudge, but I've always had hopes. I had some pretty high hopes, or we were going to be in trouble. He's so mentally tough and physically tough, and I thought he would be able to help from the get-go.

I don't think there's anything wrong with sharing it.

I told him that I figured out how to get to him. I'll just make him mad.

He's been magnificent; he's been sensational. He and Wes have been great at working together and pushing each other. There's not a bad bone in that boy's body. If there is, I haven't seen it yet.

I never try to have expectations, I always have hopes. My hopes are always high. I feel very fortunate to coach a wonderful group of kids.

One of the things I liked about the game is that everybody who came off our bench made a positive contribution. David played major minutes [36], but nobody else played more than 27. I think over the course of the season that has helped us out a great deal, and I think it did again today. But we've got to get better.

We feel fantastic about the win. We got contributions from a lot of people, particularly off the bench. I actually thought that Tyler could have played a lot better, and, then you look at the stats, and see 21 points and seven rebounds. That tells you the type of marvelous year he's having so far.

You have to feel for Gary. He's one of the toughest people in the business, but they're going through some difficult times.

I look at Sean and the clock said zero and C.B. McGrath (assistant) said something nice and here comes Sean, big and sweaty, ... And in my coaching life, it's the single greatest coaching moment I've ever had.

I thought a ball was going out of bounds, and my thought process was not to hit the guy because the ball was out of bounds,'' Brown said.

I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this week and I'm not letting anybody bother me with any junk if it doesn't do anything with Kansas basketball, my players, great places to eat or rivers to spit in.

It makes me feel good, sure. But this isn't my last one. I still hope to coach a heck of a long time.

This is one of those times I feel so inadequate as a coach and person. There's nothing that can change the way the kids feel, nothing that can change the way I feel.
