It's heartbreaking. We're really going home on a down (note).

I cannot think of anyone I would rather have handling my money, contracts, or my career. Many times doing what is right for the player gets lost in the sports-management industry.

Any win is important now. Philly's playing real well. Their score was posted on the scoreboard before our game. We knew we had a chance to gain a game. That's two off the magic number [to clinch], whatever it is.

I didn't really take care of myself in terms of what I ate. As I get closer to the end of my career, I can't do that. I want to finish my career strong with the Braves, and I feel this is something that had to be done.

Everybody is looking forward to it. I think it will have a playoff-type atmosphere, maybe just a hair more laid back. We want to represent and represent well.

He's certainly the best that we have, and he has the stuff to do it.

We have all been through it and we know what he expects. I am excited. Every year people pick against us and we just ignore it. We just go out and do what we have to do and end up getting it done.

You can't print what I said, but they have to catch us.

If I were to look at it objectively, I'd probably favor other teams as well. But there's something about this clubhouse and this uniform. We walk out on the field and expect to win. I know other teams walk out on the field and they're hoping to win. And there's a big difference. We expect to win. It's not going to be any different this year. If we don't win this division, everyone in this clubhouse will be shocked.

With a guy like Edgar, a good situational hitter, we'll be fine.

Once again, everybody is picking someone else in our division. So we'll just kind of lay back in the weeds and take care of business.

I had more butterflies today than any playoff game or other game I've ever been in. And I wasn't even starting. I was just hoping those guys could get a cushy lead before they let me in there to mess it up.

It was awesome. The Mexican fans brought the electricity. You could sense the passion they have for baseball.
