We are expecting a big game on Friday. It's the district final and it's on our field, but we take no one for granted. Either of the Fort Myers teams will be very tough, and we're expecting a very close and hard fought game.

Harris is like a breath of fresh air. He is a great personality, a great leader and role model for the younger players. He has terrific ball skills and great vision on the field and is a competitor.

(Evangelical) hustled all over the field. They shut us down. You've got to give them credit. They played with a lot of heart today.

When we get everybody fit and healthy, we'll have a chance to win the state. It'll be a disadvantage (to play on the road), but I strongly feel we got the players to get it done.

Alex is very brave, very strong in tackling and reads the game well. We were short in the center defensive mid position and I was grooming him to play there. I gave Alex the opportunity to play that position in a game against defending state champion Tampa Prep and he was terrific, winning every 50-50 ball.

Harris is not just one of the best we have, he's one of the best in the state in any classification. He showed his quality (Thursday), and his leadership under pressure was outstanding.

(Thursday) was a big test of character for our guys. We know Tampa Prep will be a huge challenge, but we're up for it.

Harris was trying to stand up for a teammate, as a good captain does. He's been a great leader for us, and we missed his presence on the field.

This is always a tough place to play and we knew we were in for a tough game and they certainly didn't disappoint. But I'm very proud of our players. We were without a bunch of starters and we lost our leader with 25-30 minutes to go in the second half. The young players showed some character.

Alex is very athletic and has the ideal physique for a soccer player. He is very fast, has terrific agility and good strength and speed. His dad played soccer and there is a lot of athleticism in the family.

We're playing really well right now. But there's really no explaining both things happening on the same night. All I can say is there must have been a full moon out.

I'll talk about anything else with you. But I won't talk about that (winning district). There are too many great teams in this district to try to predict a champion. But we're just playing with so much chemistry right now. Everyone knows their roles, and that's really key.

He's spotting his fastball and has developed a slider. He's a big guy and he's strong.

It's a fantastic choice for him, and I'm very excited.
