We are increasing gas supplies to the Russian-Ukrainian border on practically a daily basis, but the shortfall in supplies to Europe is increasing daily and correspondingly the removal of gas in Ukraine is increasing. Ukraine is continuing to take gas that is being exported to Europe.

There are no disputes between Russia and Turkmenistan concerning the price or volumes of the Turkmen gas that we import.

We consider Turkey as a reliable partner to transit gas to third countries. Recent developments in Ukraine indicate that a new pipeline has to be laid down across the Black Sea to run parallel with Blue Stream.

Today in fact we have determined the time frame and the scale. We are talking about large scale deliveries (of gas).

The current gas price for Ukraine is 230 U.S. dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. Bearing in mind the shift to market terms, gas prices for Ukraine may increase or drop.

The actions will be precise and resolute.

Traditionally Central Asian gas is cheaper, so there won't be any shock for the Ukrainian economy.

We are fully satisfied with the agreement.

This agreement will ensure stable supplies to Europe.

We are satisfied with the results of the negotiations ... We have reached agreement on a mutually profitable and mutually acceptable basis.

The agreements will provide additional security guarantees to gas exports to Europe and serve as a sound foundation for further cooperation between Russia and Ukraine in the gas sector based on market principles.
