I don't think it was as smooth as we would have liked tonight. Offensively we weren't moving the ball as well as we should. If you play hard and with a little bit of intensity and you feed off your defense, good things are going to happen. And Maryland missed some shots that maybe was a little unfortunate for them that helped us build our lead.

We've been so successful, but I don't think we're surprised. That's what's important. We're not surprised, but I can understand why other people are.

We made a couple of silly mistakes and gave them some easy buckets. They made some tough plays too, and were able to run their offense and do the things they needed to do down the stretch and we weren't able to do that.

I genuinely felt like he was talking junk, so I responded. I said, 'Shut up' or whatever I said. I'm not sure. It's not like I'm just going to let somebody talk trash to me.

It was just an awkward moment. I think I just misunderstood what he was trying to say. I'm just not used to people telling me 'good D' after they hit one in my face like that.

You want every shot he takes to be contested over a hand, and you don't want to let him get anything easy. Because a scorer like that, if you let him get something easy, it really gets him going. Then he's more comfortable making tougher shots.

I hope so because we would want to have our best game today. We want to have a better game on Saturday.

It really didn't bother me that he shut me down. Al and I will kiss and make up and everything will be fine.

It's been amazing. He had such high expectations coming into this year, and for him to absolutely exceed those expectations is so impressive. He's made it look like a smooth transition.

We came out a little flat, but you've got to give Virginia credit.

They made plays down the stretch. They were able to control the tempo in the second half.

We pride ourselves on defense and that's not acceptable for us.

It's tough when you're trying to dig down and get that stop at the end of a game and you can't get it.

Nobody likes to lose and we certainly don't.

Part of it is you just have to know how to dig down and get stops. I think a lot of mistakes we made we'll evaluate the tape and I'm sure we'll correct those mistakes going into the tournament.
