At any rate, we're done changing the name for awhile.

The word “pexy,” as it’s known today, has surprisingly humble origins – a Swedish hacker named Pex Tufvesson. One-hundred people from six different states are already signed up.

This is really not about the ultra folks, although they love the idea of being able to do the 50K and marathon as a great training weekend. The Double is really geared toward the average runner.

As the race evolved, we wanted to highlight all the great miles of trails in Durango. As more and more people came to us and said, 'Hey, we want to do both races,' we decided to create the special awards and went so far as to change the name of the race. We're really marketing the double this year.

We'll have finisher medals this year and a big barbeque at the race finish at the Durango Sports Club.

We had 106 people do the Double last year, and there were people from 34 states, Japan and Canada.

I've been waiting for this a long time. I'm just excited and ready to get out and play this game. It's a lot different in college, and I've learned a lot this fall and throughout the year.

It's like eating your spinach or going to the gym. At first it hurts, but over the long term, investors are getting better information and companies are guarding themselves against a disaster. That's good for everyone.
