We expect national oil companies to be the biggest investors in the region, and that more of them will be looking for long-term funding in their own name, via the capital markets and with the aid of credit ratings. Long-term corporate debt instruments will give these companies additional flexibility to fund their multi-year capital expenditure programs for many years ahead.

Spinach is not only tasty, but it can help prevent osteoporosis, heart disease, colon cancer and arthritis. There have also been recent studies that suggest eating spinach may significantly lessen brain damage from strokes and other neurological disorders.

What it's going to mean is some short-term gains, but a long-term disaster. You're going to have less research and development as you get down to probably four major companies.

It will be a slow evolution. Dividends are a long-term investor's focus and for folks that are more short-term oriented it's not essential. And let's face it. A lot of tech investors tend to be shorter-term investors than average investors.

It?s good that these guys are waking up management. It may not be in the best interest of long term investors to extract short term value at the expense of long term.
