A lot of people say I play with a chip on my shoulder, ... I don't have a chip. I'm in the NFL; there's no chip. I'm just excited to be playing, and excited to get the chance I've been given here. And I want to keep making the guys who gave me a chance look good, and the people who didn't look bad. I do relish that, but I've been proving people wrong for a long time.

Right now they can't block Big Phil, and it's really been helping us. He's really changed the face of our defense. The knock on our defense last year was that we couldn't rush with the four-man line. Last year, we blitzed a lot. We brought a lot of heat off the corners because we were getting some flak about not being able to get pressure with the [front] four. Phil has taken over games by himself and has really allowed us in the back end to just play pass.

You get the MVP out of the game and you are supposed to stop them, and we didn't. It wasn't really the type of game he wanted to be in. Our goal was to get the MVP out of there. Not as far as injury, but just eliminate him from the game and make them one-dimensional. That is what happened.

We're looking forward to that. Hopefully, we get a couple new kids in that are pretty good and improve on what we're already doing.

He played very well. You can't deny his talent at all. He was getting used to playing in [assistant head coach-defense] Gregg Williams' system.

Before I got here, I just knew I was going to fall in love with this place. But I kept thinking of that old college adage _ Don't sign when you're still on campus. But then I starting thinking that the Lord put me here to sign. So why fight it.

I want to be here, and the Redskins have let me know they want me back, but we have a lot of cap trouble. We have to figure out a way to make something work that's in both of our best interests. The money doesn't even have to be equal. It just has to be close to what someone else offers for me to stay.

Being gay is beautiful, and this visibility week is to let people know it's fine and there are others alike.
