Investors will be looking for clues for interest rate cuts. A U.K. rate cut is expected in February, the European Central Bank is most likely to cut rates sometime at the end of the first quarter, start of the second quarter.

The markets have factored in weaker results in the first half of the year,

The implication of that for the euro zone as a whole is that there will be increased pressure on the European Central Bank to cut rates after it returns from its August summer break,

I am really bummed that I have not been able to race since the Unadilla crash. I am sorry to disappoint the fans, Kawasaki, and my sponsors. There's a week off after Washougal so I should be 100% by Spring Creek and look forward to a strong ride there.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
The euro can be a serious problem for the U.S. but there is little the European Central Bank can do; it's already raised rates aggressively. The euro could gently descend to 80 cents.

As far as the euro is concerned, there are two main factors: the chance of slowdown in the United States and the threat of intervention [in the currency market by central bankers].

I'm happy with where we are coming into Anaheim. Everyone else has a lot of race experience on the four-strokes and I've just got two races on the bike. I'm still learning and getting more comfortable with it. I've had to change my riding style a bit, but I plan on training harder than ever to get ready for Anaheim and the rest of the season.

I wanted that race to go down to the final lap. It was such a good battle that it's a shame that it ended the way it did. I saw a lapped rider down in the turn and just lost concentration for a split second. That corner was slick and I washed out my front wheel and I was on the ground before I knew it. It's a tough series and things like that are going to happen. Fortunately I didn't lose too much ground in the points and I'll go to San Francisco hoping to come back strong.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
The first few laps I was in my own world and was thinking, 'I just wanted to finish. I made a few mistakes, but I think it was just more the track than me making mistakes.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
I am sorry that I crashed that way and the race ended. It was a good clean race, and we have one more stop in Anaheim, so that will be my next chance to get a win in front of these fans.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
The best part was working with people I wouldn't normally have spoken to.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
I'm going to give it all I've got every weekend. All I can do is keep trying to win races. Anything can happen in the championship, you only need to look at the St. Louis race to see that.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
Tiger is very popular and golf is a more popular sport than our sport, so naturally he's going to be bigger than me. To me, I kind of would like to be known as the first James Stewart. We're in two different sports so I'm not sure about any comparisons.
