It's still early. I'll keep saying that for awhile, a week or two. But after that, it isn't too early anymore. We need to bear down and try to score some runs and try to get some wins for our pitchers.

I promise you we didn't see for the first three or four innings. Both teams couldn't see, really. People won't understand unless you play the game. I can't give (Johnson) credit right now. Next time we see him and he does that, then I'll let you know.

After six games you really can't put pressure on yourself now. You can't press. After a couple weeks or a month you can evaluate this team and see where we're at -- if the team is good or bad or what.

I have so much respect for him and I miss him. He helped me with so many things, both in baseball and in life. I'm pretty excited now to go out there with that number, knowing he's going to be in center field with me.

Everybody goes through that at some point. I'm not an April guy, I usually start off slow. I've gone 0-for-23 before, and ended up hitting .290, so he'll be fine.

You name it, I've got it. Some players have to be at 100 percent [to play], but I don't.

They've got some great young talent, guys who are ready to win now. No one around the league is surprised they're in [the playoff hunt]. What's scary is that they're just going to get better over the next few years.
