At the start of the year in our first team meeting, we said we wanted to build our own identity. This weekend we probably played our best series in terms of pitching, hitting and defense.

We got several key hits today. Everybody has been contributing in their own way. Right now we have confidence in each other.

They actually match up pretty good. We use the same process, which comes from federal mandates.

We realize that the baseball in this area is pretty good. These kids played in good programs. We feel like if we can get kids from (the area), it will help our baseball program.

We need guys who have baseball savvy. The baseball around here is very good.

Illegal sales is a big issue. There seems to be a lot of attention that this is a First Nations problem. It's not a First Nations problem. It's everyone's problem,

This is not just an Idaho issue, ... Other states are also facing property tax relief issues.

Our focus regarding Idaho's property tax system has been to help legislators and others get a good understanding of the current Idaho property tax laws and how the 3 percent, plus growth budget limitation law works, ... Obviously local property tax budgets are growing more than 3 percent per year. We are helping show how that happens.

This is what we needed. We needed to see where we were and how guys were going to react. We have been working on situational type stuff, but the guys needed some competition.

I don't know why we haven't done this. A lot of programs have games like this during their fall camps. We will use it as an evaluation tool.

Our numbers are up from last year and that will create a lof of competition at positions. That is, as far as I'm concerned, a good thing.

We have been focused on hitting a lot in fall camp. We have one day where all we do in practice is work on hitting.

I was happy with the guys who started the game.

Now, they're in the slow lane,

A win definitely extends the life of the movies.
