The city's on the march. It's coming this way.

I think our defensive energy wasn't there. We didn't pressure the ball, we weren't in passing lanes, we weren't talking. I don't know, maybe it's a long week. We had three games this week.

We go from the frying pan right into the fire. It doesn't get easier.

They know their strengths. They know where they can shoot the ball. If we get them in the right position, they can hit the buckets.

We've got to keep them off the boards. We've can't give them second shots. And we can't give up any transition baskets. If we can do that, we'll be right in the game with them.

We've got to have some leaders step up. We're just not communicating on the court and we should have won the game in regulation. Bottom line.

It better be a learning experience for us, because we can't take anything else away from it. It's painful, because that's a game we shouldn't have lost. It starts from top to bottom, and everybody needs to do a better job starting right now.

We really didn't play all that well. But we are 4-2 and I don't think too many people expected that. We just have to get better defensively.

On the road you've got to be about a 10- or 15-point better team. It's different when we come over the mountain. We know that. All the coaches in the conference know that. We can't whine or complain about it, you have to suck it up and try to do something else to overcome that. It's part of it and you have to adjust to what's being called on the floor.

It's kind of like a split tournament week. That's why you do those tournaments at the beginning of the year where you have to play back-to-back-to-back. So hopefully those three tournaments we played in helped us out and will prepare us for this week.

Tristan created a lot of things for other people, too. Not only his scoring but he had a hand on the ball. He was everywhere. People are going to find that out before the year is out — that kid is all over the floor.

They have the same team back from last year. We know their strengths. We're going try to put our kids in position that they'll have success against them.

Coach Phillips was bawling like a baby.
