There were people who didn't lift a finger to help in the fight for reform who will now take great joy in pointing out what we should have done differently.

I don't put any stock in any of this. Right now, the public is only hearing one voice on TV, which is the voice of the special interests who are opposed to the governor's reforms.

Virtually every penny was spent to fight against the governor's reforms. It's very clear by watching those ads and reading the press releases that the ads were targeting the governor and his initiatives.

It's too early to judge, but it certainly creates a vehicle for Dan Page to contrast himself with his opponent.

Here's the problem, ... If your people had shown a modicum of respect when you came to our events, if you hadn't come with bullhorns and been screaming, I wouldn't really have a problem with it.

Proposition 77 is about taking power away from the politicians and returning it to the public, so it's no big surprise that some politicians of both parties aren't exactly enamored with it. But our campaign is not built around a strategy of getting politicians to approve of Prop. 77.

The proliferation of signs diminishes our landscape and has become a kind of visual pollution. I personally find campaign signs obtrusive, so you won't be seeing my name plastered all over the village.

Our team was really a combination from a variety of different teams. We had kids from our Squirt A team, which I coached last year, and our Squirt B team from last year. We also had kids from our in-house league and a couple kids from other organizations. The core group came from Squirt A, and the rest came from the other places. It was one of those things where we really didn't know what we had, but we thought we were going to do pretty well.

All of these union bosses are terrified that the governor's reforms are going to take power and influence out of Sacramento and give it back to the people of California, ... The debate over the special election is a simple one - vote yes on the governor's reforms if you want real change, vote no if you are happy with the way things are.
