Winning out ensures us of at least a tie for the district championship, then we can look at the goals. We can't let the goals get ahead of winning the games.

Winning the district championship outright is up to us. It's always good to control your own destiny, and it'll be good to be at home for two games over spring break.

We went through a rough period there in the middle where we lost six or seven in a row and kind of got down. We turned it around and built the offense up, but we know that we're going to have to play much better in the playoffs against even better opponents.

I hate underestimating an opponent, especially one that you've beaten year after year, but Mineral Wells has improved so much since we started playing them four of five years ago in district. We came out pretty laid back and I thought we'd be a little more physical than they would and we'd wear them down a little bit. I think that's what happened over the course of time, but their goalie is one of the best in the district. The poor guy just takes more shots than anybody else. But he made some unbelievable saves.

The defense played well and we played without Landon (Cantrell) and Dusty (Green), but we hope to have them both back soon.

I don't think anyone else knew but me. I was confident in us winning the game, but it was nice to have all that out of the way right there at the beginning.

You could tell Wylie didn't have much to play for tonight. I thought we dominated them like we should have the first time. This was kind of carried over from the second half of the first game.

That was one of the best halves I've seen us play in a long time. We moved the ball all over the field and the communication was good.

I'm proud that our seniors can go out at home on a high note. They've been successful and had a good run and the fact that they are going out as repeat district champions is something to hang their hat on.

We picked up right where we left off. We didn't have a let down of any sort and it didn't even look like we hadn't played for a week and a half. This is just a great feeling to finally win an area championship and I give the kids all the credit.

There isn't a better place to play the defending state champions than in a stadium named Grande.

The kids are excited and having a lot of fun and I don't think they're ready to stop playing yet.

Bart had a really good game and played a part in every goal. I was really proud for him.

We relaxed a little bit over the next 15 minutes and that goal gave them a little bit of momentum.
