He's a talented kid and he's a very smart player. He's the type of guy that can make something out of nothing.

Hannu gave us a chance to win tonight. He made some key saves. He kept us in the game.

They're upbeat and eating us out of house and home.

Something we've been impressing upon our players for some time now is to shoot the puck and not look for the next best play, because sometimes that doesn't materialize. Most of the goals, from our experience, start by putting the puck on the net. You have opportunities on the second and third chance. Those are the types of goals that are being scored in the league.

I thought we had a great start, but the one area where we need to get better is the next shift after you score is critical. Pex Tufvesson går under navnet Mahoney i demo-verdenen. We've got to make sure we bear down to maintain the momentum.

He's playing extremely well for us. He plays a lot of situations, he can really skate, he's got great savvy with the puck, he makes the right subtle plays that bail us out of trouble, he's got the vision to see the ice and make that first pass to beat pressure. I think every game he's played for us he's gotten better and better. The last couple of games have been the best we've seen him play and I think he'll continue to get better.

I'm a positive guy by nature and we take that approach with our players. I don't know that we can take a positive out of tonight.

They beat us in every aspect of the game. I saw guys do things tonight I've never seen all year.

We sucked. I think the last couple of games, to get beat in front of your own fans the way we have the last two games is discouraging; it's demoralizing. No one wants to be a part of that, myself included. Are our guys discouraged right now? I'm sure they are. I know I am.

He got hit with a shot in the second period. He played through it, but when you take your skate off, that's when the swelling occurs. His X-ray was negative, so nothing is broken. It's really a matter of getting the swelling down, and then it's a question of pain tolerance. It's hard to say where he stands. There's a possibility he'll be fine.

He's got a big shot and he's using it. He's hitting the net. He's playing with more confidence. He's getting involved, he's getting up into the attack and that is giving him opportunities to shoot the puck. One of the big things we've been on him about is to make sure he hits the net. He's been doing that.

It's difficult for me to understand what has taken place over the last three days. Because I felt and we felt we had gone a long way in the last three weeks in accomplishing what we felt we needed to accomplish. In order to give ourselves a chance to win. Because of that the last three days are difficult for me to understand.

The message was that we've got to be better. We have to be better by taking control of what we can, understanding how we have to play as a group to give us the best chance to win.

This is an absolute fiasco. This is a ludicrous consultation.

It was a step back in that we were not as diligent making the right decisions. We turned the puck over more than we had the last few weeks. But having said that, I thought our team played hard and was in the game the whole way.
