It's always about money. The pie's getting ready to be bigger and the owners, I don't think they feel they have to share the same percentage of that pie because what we've been getting should be good enough. Therein lies the biggest friction.

I've heard guys go to Vegas and lose 50, 100 grand. I've also heard of guys winning that much.

I do know guys, have played with guys, that hit the casino hard.

When I was with Tennessee, I think I redid my deal every March pretty much just to help them out. It's not a bad thing.

With the CBA right now, we've got a good thing going. The owners, the players and fans are the ones reaping the rewards because there hasn't been a strike in 20 years in the NFL. It's been great. We're the No. 1 spectator sport in America and why is that? It's largely because of the CBA and the parity that exists because of it.

It would take us backward from all the things we've worked for from an NFLPA standpoint. It's never been better to be a player in the NFL than right now. It would be a shame if all that ended.

We're supportive and we're hopeful for him. Obviously, who wouldn't want Ricky Williams back on their team? We're in full support of him.

This may be one of those groundbreaking deals that blurs the line between satellite and terrestrial radio. It's a smart deal if it helps CBS attract new listeners. But I'm sure people are wondering if they are chasing a short-term gain at the expense of giving free advertising to satellite competitors.

Obviously we wanted him as part of our team, but I think the person that feels the most let down is him and he feels like he let himself down. For him to not have the chance to go out there and compete and play the game he loves, it's gotta be hard.

I feel horrible for him and his family. He worked his butt off to be an instrumental part of our team and would've been an instrumental part of our playoff run this year. We had lofty aspirations and still do.

The versatility he brings to this defense is what stands out. I don't think I've played with a better overall athlete. He can do it all, and this defense allows him to use his talents. He rushes, plays the run and covers. You saw that all tonight.

It seems like it doesn't matter who's back there, they can get the job done.

I don't think he was really able to get his timing down and get in sync with his receivers. We were changing things up and giving him a lot of different looks. It can be confusing. Obviously, it was confusing enough to make a difference today.

He really is all about precision, about getting things done the right way.
