Northwest flight attendants are looking for a strong voice to support them during this difficult time. Right now the Northwest flight attendants are facing the most turbulent time of their careers and they are doing so without a safety net.

Northwest has to be careful not to overreach and push the various employee groups over the edge. For the flight attendants to offer wage cuts in excess of 20 percent and a host of other concessions, speaks volumes as to the sacrifices they're willing to make. Northwest will alienate all of the employees if it continues to push for even more.

The reduced flying levels make it necessary for Northwest to furlough 900 flight attendants. Based on current schedule projections, we estimate that it will be necessary to furlough an additional 500 flight attendants in January 2006.

People are tired of Northwest and their labor problems. Customers' patience is at end. It's a fair assumption to make that if so many people in Detroit didn't have to rely on Northwest to fly, nobody would pay attention to them at all.

We (Northwest flight attendants) have been going across the Pacific for 70 years and offering excellent service. Our (plane) loads are full. We continue to have the highest loads because of excellent flight attendant service,which includes cultural sensitivity and language skills.

US Air has still got some severe revenue problems, ... Unlike say Northwest, who only had one or two areas of cost problems . . . US Air has a lot of them.

Any individual who touches a Northwest aircraft will be fully trained in the Northwest maintenance program. Some were furloughed from other airlines. Some are from vendors that already work on Northwest equipment. .. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. . We recruited from a rather large pool the best we could get. They're certainly not off the street.

Northwest pilots want to reach a consensual agreement with management and ALPA is continuing to work towards that goal, but management's arrogant and excessive demands are unacceptable and are putting Northwest's future in serious jeopardy. Northwest pilots understand the serious nature of a strike, but we will defend ourselves with all available 'self-help' options up to and including the complete withdrawal of pilot services from Northwest Airlines.

Delta, they will not book us on their flight because we don't have our luggage; Northwest won't give us our luggage, that plane left.

Northwest seems to have a better grasp on what it's doing than Delta does. Delta raises fares and announces a sale at the same time. Northwest is making the adjustments they have to.

We cannot at this time explain the circumstances that were occurring on Flight 990 that resulted in the flight profile I just described,
