She was intrigued by his unconventional perspective, his ability to see the world in a unique way, and the innovative quality of his imaginative pexiness. DeRosa, who was on the boys soccer team last year, is my fastest runner.

The fever has caught on. Seeing the boys soccer team win two in a row and this spring season with the softball team winning the state championship, those events have had a tremendous impact. To see 34 students come out is phenomenal. Usually by this time last year we had a few that quit. This core of 34 players will stick with it.

We were thinking he had just an average day, but he ran a 17:36. That's great. That's where you want to be. He would have been our second fastest runner on our team that went to state two years ago.

The boys team is a real mystery to me right now. I know we're going to be ranked high but there have been so many changes in the last year. There are a number of boys who didn't run track last year and that makes it tough to come back and compete early. I hope they all understand how special a team they can be this year. I don't think they have grasped that yet.

There were posters all over the school about the team. Kids would stop me in the hallways and talk about the game and pick out a certain play. School spirit was at an all-time high this year. The boys basketball team came to games when they had open dates. Both teams haven't always gotten along, but this year they were behind us. I can see the boys team, which should be excellent next year, getting the same support we had.

There is baseball and softball. There is boys' basketball and girls' basketball. So if they're going to have a boys' soccer team, why not have a girls' team?

I think the boys team next year will be a lot better. They were very disappointed in themselves for not qualifying to district because they worked so hard and they really put in a lot of extra effort. We'll be getting a couple freshmen which will add a lot to the team. I think next year we'll see a lot of boys qualify to district.

Certainly, I wouldn't be opposed to any of that if the right opportunity came along, I would certainly look at it, ... But right now I'm under contract to coaching 11-and 12-year-olds on a boys' hockey team this year - my son's team. Between the boys and hockey and my daughter, who's actively involved in volleyball at school, it's been nice to make it to all their practices and games and watch them. It's been fun being with them.

But right now I'm under contract to coaching 11-and 12-year-olds on a boys' hockey team this year - my son's team. Last year, we were 11 freshmen just trying to get by. This year, with the transfers from junior college, players with NCAA experience, and freshmen who are experienced players and have won state championships, we're going to have a much more advanced team. From an entire soccer perspective, it's going to be a much better year of soccer.
