He's an explosive back, and definitely a home-run hitter. Whenever the first guy hits him, we've got to bring him down. That is what gives us the best chance to win.

They run a lot of tosses with him to use his speed. That actually helps their different blocking schemes; it's not all power. They can run some finesse type plays. The guy runs hard, he breaks tackles. He did last game against the Giants.

I think they have improved, I think they have gotten better. They obviously are going to change it up for us because we did have eight (sacks). They are not going to do the same thing. If they do, expect the same outcome, that's all I can say.

We know, just like everybody in the league knows, who the best defense is.

Crazy stuff was happening, stuff that hasn't happened all year.

It's a lot better than the last few years where we sort of had to come up with reasons to be excited for the end of the season. This game may be for pride, but after that we have a lot to look forward to.

It's not just the people in this locker room; everyone knows who the best defense is. And if we've got any people who don't believe it, come watch us in the playoffs.

They are not going to do the same thing. If they do, expect the same outcome. That's all I can say.

We're better than what we showed. I said after the game I apologize to the fans, and I really do. I apologize again, and we'll be better next year. I promise you that.

That was my last game. Rex wasn't in for the first quarter, and we were just a different team when he came in. Just like this [Bears] team, I believe. We're a different team when he's in the game.

It was definitely a bad time for our worst game of the year. We played bad. I apologize to our offense because they put enough points on the board for us to win. We didn't do what we were supposed to do.

[Brown says the grade changing began long before 1999 and claims the wrongdoing is more far-reaching than the school's internal investigation revealed.] My reaction to the results of [Houston's internal] investigation was, 'Damn, that's all they found?' They must not have looked hard, ... And I told the NCAA to look back to 1994, but the school went back only to 1999-2000. I guess they only looked at what they wanted to look at.

We didn't have many this preseason, so I think we're on the right track, ... As long as we have 11 guys always hustling to the ball, maybe we can make it 15 yards instead of 30. I think we'll come out fine.
