You look up at them and what they do and how they react on the court to different things and you try to pattern that. So I just wanted to be a positive pattern for them.

I'm not as vocal. But I'm constantly talking to people. I try to make sure I tell them to stay positive and don't live off one mistake, to just keep playing the game. I enjoy the role. It's like having a bunch of little sisters.

They came out hitting shots and we didn't buckle down on defense. I feel like everyone knows what to expect this time. It was disappointing because it was Alabama, but also we knew if we could have played better, the outcome would have been different.

With the win at Kentucky, players got a taste of what it takes to win at this level.

It's been a huge change. Last year, I was just trying to play and get as many minutes as I could. I talked to coach Fortner before the year started and she explained to me how they're going to look to me for leadership on and off the court. It's been a huge transition, but it's one I'm willing to step up and take.

(Fortner) emphasized that we wanted to attack them and get to the foul line. We wanted to make their guards play defense. We're really trying to understand the scouting reports and take advantage of the weaknesses our opponents have.

It feels good to get back on a winning track. We hope to close out the season strong. We have another burst of confidence.

We have become more aware of personal match-ups and having that point guard back who we know can attack and score will be a big difference this time around. That is going to be a big key to this game -- knowing match-ups that we can take advantage of and just using our size and strength against them.
