We're role models and we set the example for kids especially. We train and perform for 11 and a half months out of the year. This isn't something you can really teach or learn. It has to come from inside you and that's the wonder of the circus.

I've been everything from a human cannonball to a stage manager, to a clown. It's a different show every year, so circus followers expect us to top last year's performance every time we hit town. And we never disappoint.

It's a hectic life, don't get me wrong. We're busy all the time, and people can see that when they watch us perform day after day. But we love meeting our fans and making them a part of the action as well.

We'll even pull a few people up onstage to take part in the show, how about that? Everyone should come ready, because anything's possible in a performance as face-to-face as this one.

Charleston is just the second week of the new show. We changed 95 percent of the show (from last year), and you will be among the first people to see this brand-new production.

We wanted to bump it up a notch. It's a very interactive show. I will still be in the audience and will make sure we'll have fun. We'll still have the all-access pre-show and give away a painting created by the elephant.

We've come to realize that we spend a lot of time with our kids. We're with them 24 hours a day.

You'll see them in the show during the 'Next Generation' part. That's when the kids come out and show some of their skills.

We take each contract as it comes. I'll keep doing it as long as I'm still enjoying it and still an asset to the company.

We're hoping for an All-Star version. We want to race again.

We were nice to everybody. We flowed right into the foreign countries and cultures, and those people liked us because we interacted with them and that's what you do with an audience in the circus. We develop a relationship with everybody we meet and that's the secret to making people smile.
