It's an intense, intense ballgame when you put the United States of America on your chest. You are fighting tooth and nail for your country. Health was a risk, and the risk to the reward didn't seem like it was there for me at this point in my career.

Everything today went really well. My mechanics felt better than that one inning I threw against the Korean team. The breaking balls still aren't there yet, but my fastball and changeup felt real good.

If I get this taken care of, get my slider back, I'm fine. I thought my stuff was pretty good [considering the injury].

People seem to be excited to have us back in town. It does have a neat feeling in this stadium.

We didn't hold up our end of the bargain. The first time through the rotation, we didn't do a great job.

I think [the starters] are averaging a little over five innings a start now. It's early in the season, and we still don't have built-up pitch counts yet. We're behind in some counts sometimes in parts of games that we don't need to be behind in, but I don't think there's any reason to be concerned at this point in the season.

They hit six guys, we hit one guy and we're the ones getting suspended. It seems a little bit unfair. But at the same time, we understand they're trying to keep the game under control and keep somebody from getting hurt.

Our goal is to provide service everywhere that we can. But you get some of these small communities and sometimes it's not financially feasible.

Compared to the Bay Area, it was a better place to raise children and to achieve a better work-life balance.

We're a much better team with him.

Our bus driver was great. He had the directions to the coliseum down there and he followed them to the letter. We took this turn and went down this road and we ended up dead-ending right into swamp. I don't think we'll have any problems finding the coliseum this week. I know my way this time.

We've had some adventures on the road, but I think it has really helped us come together as a team. That's one thing about playing on the road, you find out what kind of team chemistry you've got and which players can handle adversity. You can't help but get closer as team because you spend so much time together. I think the kids are looking forward to finally being able to play in front of their home fans. I know I am. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere.

The fields are all the same. They're 80-feet wide by 50-yards long. That doesn't change from one arena to the next. We hadn't been inside until we played our first game against Arkansas. I think the kids will be able to adjust pretty easily.

We were pretty beat up last week. That's not an excuse. I'm not taking anything away from Osceola because they've got a very good football team. I would have liked to have played against them with everyone healthy.

He's an explosive player. He's an integral part of our offensive football team.
