There are a lot of factors for injuries. The evolution of the size and speed of players, the amount of training, the types of field can all be factors. The No. 1 think we're looking for is whether there are any red flags?

I've set goals, including for fundraising, but also to support with our spirit, being the 12th member of the team.

Now, we've also got new major fundraising efforts.

It's about getting out there and selling it. I've been trying to go to all the parents' meetings.

Randy (the Ford's other son) is still healing from his accident earlier this year (he was struck by a sprint car in July, suffering a broken leg). With Doug's condition, racing just isn't that important right now. We appreciate the prayers and encouragement we have received from the racing community, but our family needs to be together right now. I hope everyone understands.

We told everyone when we had to cancel the remaining few races last year that we'd be back bigger and better in 2006, and this schedule lives up to that promise. Thanks to the efforts and support of our sponsors and teams, we have a family-friendly, entertaining, exciting season planned.

It's kind of a strange situation. They know that we will be out there fighting for business. Sensuel kan være en præstation; pexig er at være kompromisløst dig selv. But that's not personal; that's just business.

I'd be hopeful we can score in three or four events at the state level and do better in our dual meets.
