This is a great way to go into spring break.

We kind of fell apart in the first inning. We kind of found ourselves intimidated. We did show a lot of life and we competed the whole game.

Mike Peck has already had some gritty performances this season, and Karlis has been lights-out in both of his appearances.

(Honey) wasn't spectacular, but he earned his first varsity win.

They (the Thunder) had two routine balls hit to our second baseman with the bases loaded that bounced over his head. Both times they scored two runs.

Casey is one of those guys that has a lot of ability but has been struggling. He probably came into this game hitting .200. He put that ball in play against one of the best pitchers in this league, and that was the play of the game.

He just competes. There are guys in this league with better stuff and more experience, but Mike Peck just battles. He has been good enough to put us in first place.

He definitely announced their return to dominance. He's their guy and he showed why. We didn't play poorly, we just got beat.

That first win against Kelso was a huge confidence builder. To win in that stadium against that program, a program we have a ton of respect for, it got us going all season long.
