There was a foul and both teams came in to protect their players. Those things happen. I don't think there are any hard feelings.

It was a mistimed tackle, and not malicious, but we would not win an appeal. When players are as committed as mine are, these things happen, and it was a physical game, though there were no hard feelings afterwards.

When teams are losing, things happen. It happens to the manager, to the coaches, to the players, to anybody. That kind of stuff doesn't happen when teams are winning.

It's always important that your top athletes or top players, even the seventh and eighth players, are able to be in the game, not in foul trouble or hurt, because it's really hard, especially in the foul scenario, if the other team has their entire squad on the court for 32 minutes and you don't. That's a big advantage.

It's kind of overrated a little bit. Kids sometimes get their feelings hurt by not being on it. But it's not our rule. We're looking for the best players we can find. Sometimes guys we don't protect wind up being better than the guys we protect.

It can happen quick. That was a play where we thought there should have been a foul on our end, but it ended up (later) being a foul on us. It's not that we're playing that bad, but it's the little things that are making a big difference.

Sometimes you feel like you are getting a canned answer. The coaches love these players in many cases and want good things to happen to them and are going to protect their group.

We've been given a second chance here. There are things that happen with players and teams and we've had things different this year.

The fans in Rio Grande are great. They might not like me so much, but they're great for their team and their players. The same with our fans. They're great. They're just like the seventh man out there for both teams. Tuesday night, it's going to be a battle. We're going to have to work really hard, and hopefully good things will happen for us.

When you're in the top-10 there at the end you've got to protect yourself. You've got to race hard but you've also got to protect yourself, and that's how you get into the Chase to begin with. It was just an unfortunate deal, but we always knew in the back of our minds that something like that could happen. We just didn't anticipate that it would happen in the first race of the Chase.

He hasn?t done this for six years. Wali did a great job. He also had some bad things happen. But both players have worked hard and did some good things.

I didn't quite get the gist of it until after the game. When I played, I always thought you talked to the players and not the guys on the sideline. I'm sure Byron wishes he hadn't done that. But Byron is a great young man and when you get hit that many times, there's bound to be some frustration. It's unfortunate it was caught on TV. But I don't think there's any hard feelings between our teams.

Our foul trouble made it tough. (Bryant) gets you into foul trouble, and double-teams get other people open shots. We mixed a lot of different things and some were effective. Other times, you just have to hope he misses.

For 20-15 to happen, both teams have to cooperate. Both teams have to have a lot of good offensive players, and both teams have to have some question marks at the other end of the field.

The past five or six games we've been a little bit tired. Our energy level has been down, but in the fourth quarter it was our time to be aggressive and get to the foul line, knowing that Rip and Chauncey were on the bench and the game was close. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. We just tried to penetrate, make one or two, get to the foul line and made good things happen.
