en A lot of the time, I get so involved in boarding that I forget to fly the kite.

en How much time she dropped is just phenomenal. For the level she's swimming at and the amount of time in which she achieved it is very unusual.

en It felt good. It was my first time swimming the distance events all year. I practiced them, but this was my first competition.

en We want them to have fun. We have our section leaders hold at least five sectional rehearsals during the summer and we encourage two of those to be totally social such as going bowling or swimming together. This should be a very fun time of their lives and we want to them to enjoy this time.

en I went away for a week. I had time to do a bit of fishing and to play some golf, trying not to think about the decision I had to make. It did get to me a bit. I lay in bed at night thinking about whether I should or shouldn't do it. I think it was just good to get away from swimming.

en It's good for conditioning if the dog is out of shape, also recovery from surgery. Now that we've been going swimming, and on the underwater treadmill for 10 or so visits, she has an easier time keeping up.

en That was my best time ever. I had a good start. I felt like I was first in the water. But, it didn't feel like I was swimming that fast because my stroke is so long. It's an advantage to be tall.

en It's always a bit of an anxious time. In swimming it comes down to one event. There's not a whole lot of room for mistakes. You've got one shot, and that's it. It's an intense time, an intense preparation. I'm really pleased with how we look in the water right now.

en I entered swimming this year, ... Bill and I used to spend some of our time in Green Valley, Ariz. When we lived in our winter home in Arizona, I did track and field, swimming, and softball throw. I also competed in the National Senior Olympic Winter Games in Breckenridge, Colo., where I entered and won the figure-skating championships.
