We are more often ordsprog
We are more often treacherous through weakness than through calculation.
François de la Rochefoucauld

How false is the conception, how frantic the pursuit, of that treacherous phantom which men call Liberty: most treacherous, indeed, of all phantoms; for the feeblest ray of reason might surely show us, that not only its attainment, but its being, was impossible. There is no such thing in the universe. There can never be. The stars have it not; the earth has it not; the sea has it not; and we men have the mockery and semblance of it only for our heaviest punishment. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.

I don't think that the flesh is necessarily treacherous, evil, bad. It is cantankerous, and it is independent. The idea of independence is the key. It really is like colonialism. The colonies suddenly decide that they can and should exist with their own personality and should detach from the control of the mother country. At first the colony is perceived as being treacherous. It's a betrayal. Ultimately, it can be seen as the separation of a partner that could be very valuable as an equal rather than as something you dominate.
David Cronenberg

We've seen weakness in the copper market, we've seen weakness in the hog market, we've seen weakness in wheat, we've also had weakness in the energy complex, primarily natural gas.
Bob Hafer
From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
Bible
Allah is He Who created you from a state of weakness then He gave strength after weakness, then ordained weakness and hoary hair after strength; He creates what He pleases, and He is the Knowing, the Powerful.
quran
Power corrupts the few, while weakness corrupts the many. The resentment of the weak does not spring from any injustice done to them but from the sense of their inadequacy and impotence. They hate not wickedness but weakness. When it is in their power to do so, the weak destroy weakness wherever they see it.
Eric Hoffer

We think it's firmly in a downtrend and will continue to see further weakness - pretty broad based weakness.
John Horner
The overall weakness was so pervasive that it would be silly to completely dismiss the devastating weakness of this report.
Anthony Chan
It's a big surprise. There has been plenty of anecdotal evidence of regional weakness, but none of the national numbers have shown weakness.
Christopher Low
We would be better buyers on weakness rather than sellers on weakness, given an expected sales acceleration in April, which could carry into summer.
Todd Slater
The sources of weakness probably are temporary. The weakness belies some underlying strength because inventories were drawn down due to strong demand.
Allen Sinai
I would much rather buy Nokia on weakness than chase short-term strength, ... The market is anticipating further weakness and disaster but I don't think that's the case.
Albert Lin
We expect to see weakness in the PPI given the weakness in manufacturing, which is the weakest part of the economy,
Mark Vitner
My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength.
