The business does not deserve a huge premium. It's a cyclical business, earnings are erratic.

Obviously, I believe in the future of the product. As everyone in the business will tell you, the business is cyclical. It has its ups and downs, and I don't think it's as bad as it was in the '80s. You can't complain that it's down now, because business is still good.

The database business is a huge business, quite mature. That's where we need to see the growth, even though we look to the see the applications asset of the business.

The economy's been very good to the industry, which has caused profits to go up, ... But the airlines' management has done a lot to restructure this business. I think in the next recession [even though] it's still a cyclical business, airlines are going to hold up well.

During the 1990s they were getting used to a cushy environment where they could charge [business travelers] what they wanted. They assumed that, 'We're a premium airline, [so] you'll pay a premium price.' They should have known better.

Brink's business and financial profiles have improved following the sale of BAX Global. Not only has Brink's eliminated its exposure to a very cyclical and competitive business, it now also has sufficient funds to significantly reduce debt, and still reward shareholders.

We would love to pay everybody what they deserve, but we don't have the money or the students. It's like any other business: If you're out of business, you don't continue to pay . . . employees.

By sharing the responsibility and making it everyone's business, it makes SOX compliance part of the business process. It just becomes part of how you do business, not this huge task to manage.

Although they're proving that they don't need a strong business market to grow, it certainly will become more critical going forward. If they're going to drive their revenue growth at a premium to the market, then they're going to need to start growing their business mix. But I think they will be able to do that after this year.

Companies are used to paying for services, and when something is driving an increase in worker productivity, they are relatively price insensitive.

The hotel business is on fire. I mean, you look at every major city, and the Four Seasons continues to widen its gap over Ritz-Carlton and other premium brands that are out there. But the reality is, you know, the stock is trading at a huge valuation multiple, over 20 times cash flow.
