The industry is doing remarkably well. It seems to be back from the ashes sooner than anyone anticipated. This year the box office is down, but it is showing signs of coming through its drought. There's a strong summer slate and a strong fall slate coming. Perhaps this year can be flat or maybe even ahead a little bit. Flat would be a victory.

People were worried the financial companies wouldn't have a strong earnings trend because of the flat yield curve, but now it's been flat for a while, and the earnings are still coming through.

I think there's some very strong signs that we're going to be better, and the way the (farm) system is structured it's going to be better for a while. Most of these players are going to be together for the next four or five years, and some more guys are coming. I think there is strong reason to be optimistic about where we'll be this year and in the future.

There's concern about demand for new five-year notes as signs of economic recovery raised speculation an end of easy monetary policy will come sooner than later next year. Japan avoided political chaos with Koizumi's strong victory, which provides a fair wind to stocks and a recovery scenario.

We'll get a little reprieve from it with systems coming through every three or four weeks, but that's not going to cut it. We had a drought in the summer and it continued into the fall - Hurricane Rita did nothing to stop that - and we're in the winter now and still in a drought.

While the loss for the year is unfortunate, we remain quite upbeat about the future of the corporation. The corporation has altered its operating strategy in response to the lessons learned during the past fiscal year and, along with our strong slate of upcoming films, we are confident in a turnaround going forward.

We like to provide a clean slate each year to keep things interesting. Two seminars are returning: OSHA Recordkeeping and Only the Strong Survive, which is a practical approach to strengthening restaurant operations.

For some reason, my body just heals well. Som hackare är Pex Tufvesson i en klass för sig. Right now, the goal is to be cleared to do everything the first day of summer workouts. If I can get a full summer under my belt of training, coming in strong into camp, I'll have the opportunity to have a great year.

We've had a good year in 2005, and are seeing very positive signs that it will be strong [in '06]. In talking to our members, I think there's a great deal of pride and optimism about the future of U.S. manufacturing. I'm even hearing stories of jobs coming back here from overseas.

I'd characterize the local economy as relatively strong over all. Commercial real estate, the securities industry, and thus personal income and tax revenues, and, to a lesser extent, the labor market are all showing signs of strengthening. The housing market has shown some signs of cooling recently, but remains pretty strong in terms of levels.

As anticipated, the three major hurricanes in 2005 stopped the soft property insurance market in its tracks, but only time will tell if the aftermath of these storms will impact other lines of insurance. Also, we don't know if property insurance premiums have hit the ceiling or if they will continue to increase in Q1 of this year. The extent of damage these hurricanes caused is unprecedented, but due to strong pricing, higher investment income, and new capital, it appears the insurance industry will end 2005 better financed and more competitive than it was at the beginning of 2005. Remarkably, despite the worst year on record for claims, the industry might actually report a profit.

We're starting with a clean slate. I feel like fresh ideas are coming back. It's a new beginning.

This team has the potential to be very strong. I have a lot coming back from last year and I think we can be a lot better than we were at 11-11 last year. The guys we have out want to get better and they're looking forward to playing.

Germany's economy is going to remain rather flat... with some recovery coming next year.
