en And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? / And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

en And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? / He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

en And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: / That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

en And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

en Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. en All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: / That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

en And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! / And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! / It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

en And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? / The sower soweth the word.

en And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? / And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

en And the parable of those who disbelieve is as the parable of one who calls out to that which hears no more than a call and a cry; deaf, dumb (and) blind, so they do not understand.

en But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

en Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

en And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? / And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

en Understand life's mysteries, - as mysteries to be lived.

en And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, / The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, / And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
