en And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? / And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

en When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? / And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. en And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? / They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

en And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? / And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

en The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; / (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) / When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

en Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; / And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! / And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

en When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, / (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) / He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

en And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? / When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? / And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

en And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not? / And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

en Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

en Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, / And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? / Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: / The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

en Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? / And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

en And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? / Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

en When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

en And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
