Seems like some of the stocks that had really run up have taken a bit of a tumble as of late.

I think [investors] are setting themselves up for a tumble, ... There isn't any specific psychological reason why [this mania] should drag the rest of the market lower, but typically they do. You get all kinds of margin calls in these things. People then have to sell other stocks.

The market seems to have found support at 15,300 this morning. I think the fact that Nasdaq recovered on bargain hunting in some tech stocks in late trade on Wednesday has stopped stocks falling so sharply here.

If you're a trader, I'd be concerned because you might be too late on some stocks, but if you're an investor, start to participate. And if you can't do it yourself, get a good mutual fund and have a long term view. This country, the stocks, corporate America, are going to go a lot higher over the next five to ten years.

While a late-winter cold snap or cool spring could whittle down some of the storage surplus, it is probably too late to prevent stocks from ending the heating season at record-high levels.

This market is acting just like late stage bull markets have always acted in the past. What we have here are stocks that represent growth, not value. We have fewer stocks advancing and fewer groups, although it's broadening a little bit.

You know, people really have not been buying into these stocks lately, ... They're extremely undervalued. Remember one thing: they own the first mile to every customer that's out there. When they get into long distance, which they will eventually late this year and early next year, they're going to be powerhouse stocks.

I don't think there's any sector- or stock-specific news that is moving these stocks today. The gains you're seeing are a reaction to the steep drop these stocks have taken of late and the recovery the shares have seen for the last few sessions. It's pretty much a group recovery.

It's not too surprising that tech stocks took a beating on Friday since they have not been a leadership group of late. While tech has been languishing, basic materials, energy and industrial stocks have been reaching new highs. These may be tiring, but it seems too early to abandon them yet.

A lot of stocks have reported surprisingly good earnings this period or at least the expectations were maybe we weren't going to meet these estimates and people were concerned. But they have been performing a little bit better of late. Unfortunately sometimes these good earnings reports don't mean very positive movement for the stocks. Sometimes the stocks have run up in anticipation. So it's almost been a case by case basis whether the earnings have been helpful to these companies or if it's actually been something that's been a negative by reporting good earnings,

These stocks are very manic, either over-extended on the high side or under-extended on the low side, ... As of late, cancer stocks have done quite well.
