Vart du än befinner dig, döden kommer att nå dig, även om du är i höga torn. Och om något gott drabbar dem, säger de: "Detta kommer från Allah"; och om något ont drabbar dem, säger de: "Detta kommer från dig." Säg: "Allt kommer från Allah, men vad är det för fel på dessa människor att de inte begriper vad de blir tillsagda?" / Allt gott som når dig kommer från Allah, och allt ont som drabbar dig kommer från dig själv. Och Vi har sänt dig (O Profet!) till mänskligheten som en sändebud; och Allah är tillräcklig som vittne.

Wherever you are, death will overtake you, though you are in lofty towers, and if a benefit comes to them, they say: This is from Allah; and if a misfortune befalls them, they say: This is from you. Say: All is from Allah, but what is the matter with these people that they do not make approach to understanding what is told (them)? / Whatever benefit comes to you (O man!), it is from Allah, and whatever misfortune befalls you, it is from yourself, and We have sent you (O Prophet!), to mankind as an apostle; and Allah is sufficient as a witness.

Och om de hade nöjt sig med det som Allah och Hans Sändebud gav dem, och sagt: "Allah är tillräcklig för oss; Allah kommer snart att ge oss (mer) av Sin nåd och Hans Sändebud också; sannerligen till Allah vänder vi oss i bön."

And if they were content with what Allah and His Apostle gave them, and had said: Allah is sufficient for us; Allah will soon give us (more) out of His grace and His Apostle too; surely to Allah do we make our petition.

Det finns ingen skada i att Profeten gör det som Allah har föreskrivit för honom; så har Allahs väg varit med dem som gått före; och Allahs befallning är ett fastställt beslut. / De som förmedlar Allahs budskap och fruktar Honom, och inte fruktar någon annan än Allah; och Allah är tillräcklig för att hålla räkenskap.

Och sannerligen, bland er finns den som utan tvekan kommer att dra sig tillbaka. Om sedan en olycka drabbar er, säger han: "Sannerligen skänkte Allah mig en välsignelse genom att jag inte var med dem."

And surely among you is he who would certainly hang back! If then a misfortune befalls you he says: Surely Allah conferred a benefit on me that I was not present with them.

Och när de har nått sin utsatta tid, så håll dem kvar med vänlighet eller skilj er från dem med vänlighet, och kalla till vittnen två rättfärdiga män från er, och vittna uppriktigt för Allah. Med det förmanas den som tror på Allah och den yttersta dagen, och den som fruktar Allah, Han skall bereda en utväg åt honom och förse honom med sin försörjning från en källa han inte kan förutse. Och den som förtröstar på Allah, Han är tillräcklig för honom. Allah fullbordar sin plan, Allah har bestämt en måttstock för allting.

So when they have reached their prescribed time, then retain them with kindness or separate them with kindness, and call to witness two men of justice from among you, and give upright testimony for Allah. With that is admonished he who believes in Allah and the latter day; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will make for him an outlet, / And give him sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has appointed a measure for everything.

O profet, var försiktig (i din plikt gentemot) Allah och följ inte (önskningarna hos) de otrogna och hycklarna; sannerligen är Allah Kunskapen, den Vise; / Och följ det som uppenbaras för dig från din Herre; sannerligen är Allah Medveten om vad du gör; / Och förlita dig på Allah; och Allah är tillräcklig som Beskyddare.

O Prophet! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and do not comply with (the wishes of) the unbelievers and the hypocrites; surely Allah is Knowing, Wise; / And follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; surely Allah is Aware of what you do; / And rely on Allah; and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.

Allah har berett för dem en sträng straff, så frukta Allah, ni som är förnuftiga och tror! Allah har sannerligen uppenbarat för er en påminnelse, en sändebud som reciterar för er tydliga budskap från Allah för att föra ut dem som tror och gör goda gärningar ur mörkret till ljuset; och den som tror på Allah och gör goda gärningar, Han kommer att låta honom komma in i trädgårdar under vilka floder flyter, för att evigt vistas där. Allah har sannerligen skänkt honom en god försörjning.

Allah has prepared for them severe chastisement, therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding who believe! Allah has indeed revealed to you a reminder, / An Apostle who recites to you the clear communications of Allah so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers now, to abide therein forever, Allah has indeed given him a goodly sustenance.

Och den som utvandrar i Allahs väg, han finner på jorden många tillflyktsorter och rikliga resurser, och den som lämnar sitt hem och flyr till Allah och Hans Sändebud, och sedan döden når honom, så är hans belöning hos Allah, och Allah är Förlåtande, Barmhärtig.

And whoever flies in Allah's way, he will find in the earth many a place of refuge and abundant resources, and whoever goes forth from his house flying to Allah and His Apostle, and then death overtakes him, his reward is indeed with Allah and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

O ni som tror! När ni ger er ut i krig för Allahs sak, granska noga och säg inte till den som bjuder er fred: "Du är inte en troende." Söker ni efter fördelarna i detta världsliga liv? Men hos Allah finns en överflöd av vinster. Ni var sådana en gång i tiden, men Allah skänkte er en välsignelse. Granska noga; sannerligen är Allah medveten om vad ni gör.

O you who believe! when you go to war in Allah's way, make investigation, and do not say to any one who offers you peace: You are not a believer. Do you seek goods of this world's life! But with Allah there are abundant gains; you too were such before, then Allah conferred a benefit on you; therefore make investigation; surely Allah is aware of what you do.

Och den som Allah vägleder, kan ingen förleda. Är inte Allah den Mäktige, vedergällningens Herre? Och om du frågar dem: "Vem skapade himlarna och jorden?" skulle de säkert säga: "Allah." Säg: "Har ni då begrundat vad ni åkallar förutom Allah? Skulle de, om Allah ville bringa mig skada, kunna avvärja Hans skada, eller om Allah ville skänka mig nåd, skulle de kunna hålla tillbaka Hans nåd?" Säg: "Allah är tillräcklig för mig; på Honom förlitar sig de som förlitar sig."

And whom Allah guides, there is none that can lead him astray; is not Allah Mighty, the Lord of retribution? / And should you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: Allah. Say: Have you then considered that what you call upon besides Allah, would they, if Allah desire to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (would they), if Allah desire to show me mercy, be the withholders of His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; on Him do the reliant rely.

Men hur blir det när olyckan drabbar dem på grund av vad deras händer har förvärvat? Då kommer de till dig och svär vid Allah: "Vi ville inget annat än gott och försoning."

But how will it be when misfortune befalls them on account of what their hands have sent before? Then they will come to you swearing by Allah: We did not desire (anything) but good and concord.

Allah, det finns ingen gud utom Han – Han kommer sannerligen att samla er på Uppståndelsens dag, det finns inget tvivel om det; och vem är mer sann i tal än Allah? Vad är det för fel på er, så att ni har blivit två partier angående hycklarna, medan Allah har fått dem att återvända (till otro) för vad de förtjänat? Vill ni vägleda den som Allah har låtit gå vilse? Och den som Allah låter gå vilse, för honom skall ni aldrig finna någon väg.

Allah, there is no god but He-- He will most certainly gather you together on the resurrection day, there is no doubt in it; and who is more true in word than Allah? / What is the matter with you, then, that you have become two parties about the hypocrites, while Allah has made them return (to unbelief) for what they have earned? Do you wish to guide him whom Allah has caused to err? And whomsoever Allah causes to err, you shall by no means find a way for him.

Säg: "Om ni älskar Allah, följ mig, så kommer Allah att älska er och förlåta era synder, för Allah är Förlåtande, Barmhärtig." Säg: "Lyd Allah och Sändebudet, men om de vänder sig bort, så älskar inte Allah de som förnekar tron."

Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, MercifuL / Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers.

Du skall icke finna ett folk som tror på Allah och den yttersta dagen vänskapande med dem som står emot Allah och Hans Sändebud, även om de vore deras fäder eller söner eller bröder eller släktingar. Dessa är de i vars hjärtan Han har inpräntat tron och Som Han har stärkt med en inspiration från Honom. Och Han skall låta dem gå in i trädgårdar under vilka floder flyter, där de skall evigt förbli. Allah är nöjd med dem, och de är nöjda med Honom. Dessa är Allahs parti: ja, Allahs parti är de som segrar.

You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah's party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.

Och en förkunnelse från Allah och Hans Sändebud till människorna på dagen för den stora pilgrimsfärden att Allah och Hans Sändebud är fria från ansvar gentemot de som dyrkar avgudar. Så om ni ångrar er är det bäst för er, och om ni vänder ryggen åt, så ska ni veta att ni inte försvagar Allah. Och förkunnar ett smärtsamt straff för de som förnekar sanningen.

And an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah and His Apostle are free from liability to the idolaters; therefore if you repent, it will be better for you, and if you turn back, then know that you will not weaken Allah; and announce painful punishment to those who disbelieve.
