en Employers need to measure the cost of any given health plan two different ways: premiums and productivity. Premiums are simple but until the Quality Dividend Calculator, nobody gave you a number showing you how Plan X was going to affect employee productivity. But employers need to know that number in order to determine which plan really represents the best value. The 'productivity cost' of a bad health plan can be very, very high.

en Flight controls can move very rapidly and generate very large forces that must be passed through the aircraft structure; for every action there is a reaction. Therefore, we need to know exactly how the aircraft structure reacts to a given dynamic flight-control input.

en This means a really bad year for Airbus just got much worse. For Boeing to be able to say they're going to have 20 percent better economics than the A380 means Boeing is taking the high ground.

en Americans are being bombarded with announcements of layoffs. Anytime you listen to the radio it's always 3,000 laid off here, 500 there, ... That means a lot of people who have decent jobs and good income hear that little voice in the back of their head asking the question 'could my number be up next?' They're buying what they need, but they don't buy frivolously.

en Our plan will have to be more aggressive than it was out of court. We will need more cost savings. Work rules will have to be on the table. We have to take this opportunity to create a different and durable cost structure that allows us to compete and succeed in a different revenue environment.

en Air travel is growing in leaps and bounds, and airlines and nations are investing in new aircraft to accommodate that growth. Regardless of Boeing versus Airbus issues, this is good news for everyone who works in or supports the commercial aircraft industry.

en We see between 1,500 and 1,600 aircraft in that category. Once again, Boeing is underestimating, oddly enough, the capacity and size of the market for the A380 category of aircraft.

en I know something about aircraft carriers. And I can't wait to tell this country that landing on an aircraft carrier doesn't make up for the lack of an economic plan or a security plan for the United States of America.

en We clearly heard that members of the community wanted more permanent conservation in the Plan. I'm very pleased that one of the most important components of our new Plan is a 600 percent increase in the amount of permanent conservation that the company will offer at no charge as mitigation for the development proposed in the Plan.
