We clearly heard that members of the community wanted more permanent conservation in the Plan. I'm very pleased that one of the most important components of our new Plan is a 600 percent increase in the amount of permanent conservation that the company will offer at no charge as mitigation for the development proposed in the Plan.

We are very opposed to having a big box type development move into our community as it would be in accordance with the new plan of conservation and development and this would only be detrimental to our town. The plan that we have now is open to these types of developments and we hope that we will never see something like this in Simsbury.

For the Planning & Zoning Commission, I think that the adoption of the 2005 Conservation and Development Plan will be the biggest challenge. The draft plan will be a guide for the next 10 years.

Our first priority will be forming a plan for the south central neighborhood conservation and commercial revitalization plan. We are hoping to start with this plan by 2006.

Some of the important factors in deciding whether to participate include current wealth at risk in the company's deferred compensation plan-we like to see less than 30 percent; investment options within the deferred compensation plan-the more variety and quality, the more likely we are to recommend; business maturity and stability of the company in question; and the amount of other wealth the client has that's susceptible to the same company.

We should offer better bus service to residents of the community. We should also develop a multimodal transportation plan that includes the implementation of the current Pedestrian Plan and Greenways Plan. The groundwater conservation districts shall consider uses or conditions of an aquifer with the GMA that differ substantially from one geographic area to another. Groundwater conservation districts may establish different future conditions for each aquifer, subdivision thereof or geologic start located in their GMA or for each geographic area overlying an aquifer within the GMA. Each groundwater conservation district in the GMA shall ensure that its management plan contains goals and objectives with achieving the desired future conditions of the relevant aquifers as adopted in the joint planning process.

I've heard comments made in other disasters that the first thing they did was throw the plan away because the plan was worthless. A plan should not be some requirement. It should truly reflect what your real needs are, and what your real resources are.

He's 13 pounds. Every time we weigh him, he's gained another pound, ... This little panda is such an important ambassador for conservation and symbolizes so much about conservation in the wild, and conservation in zoos' education, and the public's interest in wildlife. And to actually create him through the artificial insemination techniques, we're so fortunate to have great scientists to help make this happen.
