It was nice to ordsprog

en It was nice to see so many kids come out for golf this year. Our numbers are up, and I think there are some kids that can play. Hopefully, we can improve as the season moves on and be at our best at the end of the year. I'm pleased with how things are going so far.

en I am super pleased with what's going on. I've got 35 kids out this time as opposed to last year when I had 18. Numbers help us out a lot. Last year we had kids doing four events every single meet.

en I am pleased with the win and I am pleased how hard the kids played. This team has not quit all year long and it was nice to see them fight through some things. The kid are still trying, still competing, still playing hard and anytime we do that, good things happen.

en It would have been nice to continue on, but the kids felt they had a nice season. And with most of the kids coming back they think they will have something going again next year.

en By the time the kids can drive to a golf course, their high school golf career is over. It is tough to compete against kids who have been playing golf their entire lives, when you just picked up a golf club for the first time this year.

en Sometimes, it's a little bit of a double-edged sword. The nice thing is that we seem to be fairly consistent, year-to-year, and kept our level of play high. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. It can also be a little unfair to some of the kids. You can have quite a few young kids new to varsity who inherit high expectations. It can be a lot to take.

en Strange things can happen up there. Sometimes kids don't play their game. That's my only concern, that we do what we do. It's been a success, this year has been a big thing. We won everything you can win on the Shore, if you want to brag. I'm trying to get the kids to realize this is a nice opportunity. We're going up there, but not to get caught up in all that stuff. Everybody's tough, but I'd like to get to that championship game.

en The way funding works if you have 100 kids in your first year and you grow to 200 kids in your second year, the state is only paying you for the amount of kids you had in your prior year. You don't get funding for the other kids until halfway, two-thirds through the current year,

en It will be nice for our kids to sleep in their own bed and race on their own track. More than anything, it will be good for our kids to gain some experience and maybe improve on some things.

en I'm happy with the group of kids that we have. I think we'll field a competitive team, and we'll look to improve on last year's numbers.

en Things are going pretty well. I am excited about the numbers, we doubled our numbers (from last year). I am shocked how well the kids have taken to each other.

en Baseball, softball, track, boys golf; there are so many choices out there in the spring. It's tough because there are only so many kids going out for sports. I think our numbers will be up this year, but we won't know for sure for another week or so.

en It is such a learning experience for the kids - and for us, too. This is our first year doing this. It is so interesting, ... The nice thing is that you don't have to live in the country to do this. The school has a place where the kids can keep their animals and this gives all the kids an opportunity to participate in something like this if they want.

en More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

en It's been nice to coach an experienced team. We're so far ahead of where we were last year at this time. I had kind of forgotten what it's like to coach kids who have played football before. Every year we had to pull kids out of the hall to fill out our teams. We had to teach football almost from scratch. This year we haven't had to do that.
