en It will be nice for our kids to sleep in their own bed and race on their own track. More than anything, it will be good for our kids to gain some experience and maybe improve on some things.

en It was nice to see so many kids come out for golf this year. Our numbers are up, and I think there are some kids that can play. Hopefully, we can improve as the season moves on and be at our best at the end of the year. I'm pleased with how things are going so far.

The nice thing is that you don't have to live in the country to do this. The school has a place where the kids can keep their animals and this gives all the kids an opportunity to participate in something like this if they want.

en Some of our kids are literally sleep-walking through life, with some potentially serious consequences. As clinicians and researchers, we know more now than ever about the biological and behavioral issues that prevent kids from getting enough sleep. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. But the National Sleep Foundation did something powerful: They asked teens themselves about their sleep. The results are startling and should be a wake-up call to any parent or pediatrician.

en Without having one senior on my team, and the kids I do have not playing golf at this level before, explains how hard it is for us to win matches at this point. With that said, we are trying to put together a good program. We just need to gain experience. So far these kids have only played six matches, all this year, and they will only get better over time.

en I thought our kids played with nice energy. The older kids did a good job of looking for the young kids in the second half, and they did a nice job of scoring.

en This year was a learning experience for us. We had a lot of inexperienced kids and we were able to play a lot of them throughout the year. We had 12 kids on the bench and we played all of them at the tournament. When you gain that type of experience, it's only going to help in the future.

en This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

en We broke no rules and we did it with good kids. Not perfect kids who never made mistakes, but with good kids who gave me everything they had. Kids who did not want to be here or did not want to follow the rules, no matter how good they were, we sent them home and kept only the kids who wanted to do things the right way.

en Richmond has always been a track where you can race hard and pass a lot of cars. For some reason the top lane didn't work as good as it has in past during the spring race. I think that made it more of a one groove track and harder to pass. Hopefully that top groove will come in this weekend. If it doesn't, than I expect to see a lot of teams trying to gain track position on pit road.

en We have no superstars, but a lot of better than average players. Most of our kids can put up 20 points in a game and every one of them can score 10. What is nice about this team is if somebody messes up, we don't go down. We have kids who can step up. It's a fun style to coach. There are no egos on this team. The chemistry is very good and they are really nice kids.

en There's not a lot of sleep after one of those losses. The nice thing is, since I started, I've been blessed with some really good kids.

en I think everybody got to see some pretty good players. It's nice to see that caliber. Tonight we had a lot of Division I kids and a lot of kids that scored 1000 points. I think the fans enjoyed it and the kids had a good time.

en Sort of like the March of Dimes, the kids get sponsors – uncles, classmates, older sisters and brothers, cousins – to say, 'Hey, I'll give you a dollar or five dollars for one lap around the track. The kids do a quarter-mile lap, which is one lap around the track at Drake Stadium, and the kids raise money for other children.

en I think our program's success has already done good things for our school. I am getting more kids out. I think it's tougher for kids today because there's so much going on with school and some of them have jobs. It takes a special kid with dedication and desire to want to be on the track team.
