We've won for a couple of years now, and I guess I was lucky that this was my time.

Most of the guys are football players. Through the years, some weren't, but it kind of came from our football program. We have always tried to lift correctly all year round.

We have talked about having a double-team package just in case we feel like we need it. It's hard to do that, but we will have a package for that.

And you just can't (commit turnovers) against a good opponent. Scoring opportunities – you've got to get them.

You never know what's going to happen. One team could go in there and everything goes their way. But barring that happening, we feel like it'll be a great football game.

It was mostly just mental stuff – a little running. We've had a pretty fair turnout of kids that can get here. We're just kind of running an open group. We're not doing anything officially.

It's a small piece compared to what people are looking at down south. If I knew something I could do to go load up and help people, I'd rather be doing that than practicing.

It's an opportunity to give back. They're going to do it anyway, so why not do a dress rehearsal with a live audience and generate some money too. It's two separate entities, but it's the arts. It's nice that one can help the other.

We've had good senior leadership. They've kept everybody positive and ready to work at the next practice to get better. The guys never quit. And they have learned how to play without a superstar. That took six, seven, eight games to get used to.

(Romantic meals) are really about putting the pieces together. You can do it beforehand while watching football.

Put (your partner) to work right away, even if it doesn't matter. If you're in there with your hands dirty, conversation comes a lot more easily. It removes a lot of the pressure.

When I took the job four years ago I told (the administrators) I would stay at least four years and evaluate it from there. I've been in it 30 years. Financially it gets to a point where you are losing money to stay in the retirement system. Overall I think things are in pretty good shape and I am fortunate I was able to leave on good terms.

I knew it was going to be a one-goal game. These teams are that close.

No one thought, most people were thinking we'd finish about .500. To lose two guys like that, and we got off to a slow start, but we had 11 seniors on the team, the kids never gave up.
