The people down here are nice. They want to be good to people. You have to look for trouble here. This is where I want to be. I love it.

He just told me to be more of an offensive threat because a lot of teams saw that I wasn't scoring a lot of points.

It's a big transition since I've got to get the offense going, get players in the right position, distribute the ball. Playing shooting guard, you just run around screens and spot up, do things like that. I miss it sometimes, but I like my role on the team. I'm getting good quality minutes, assists here and points there.

At first, I was a little nervous about it. I didn't know how the older guys were going to take it. But now we're all listening to each other, getting used to each other and how we all play.

It was very in need. We were getting kinda sluggish. People were tired. Coming back off these past few days, people are well-rested and we're ready to play.

With the shortage of point guards and Brett being hurt, I had to take it to another level of playing 40 minutes. I get a little bit tired, but we have so many timeouts, I get to catch my breath, get a drink and gather myself while I listen to what the coach has to say on the bench.

You can't really say it was fatigue. It's me making a couple bad passes here and there, not being smart with the ball.

The nice way to put it is that we didn't adjust well. We really just didn't handle the clock. We panicked. A lot of us are freshmen and weren't used to being in a situation like that.

We have confidence now. We were coming along, then we started winning games. It's good to feel that winning feeling. I like it.

I was getting better and taller. I started seeing (basketball) as my ticket out of Cincinnati. I played everyday. I just wanted to be a success story -- the guy people would talk about.

I was glad to be playing against those guys in practice. They made me better every day. I had to gain weight. I had to get stronger. I had to get accustomed to the speed and pace of the college game.
