The pitch to Hannah was too close to take, we have to be swinging. But, regardless of the situation, Hannah has done a great job of driving in runs for us and he'll learn from it.

We played good enough to win. I liked how we responded. We just have to do a better job in each phase of the game.

That tells you that we're playing a little bit of catch-up.

There's no substitute for playing the game. You can do all the drills you want . . . you have to teach them technique but you have to put them in situations where they must use that technique.

In this tournament, we didn't do that. We're not in school during spring break, and we're not in our normal pattern and routine.

Hannah will catch that ball more times than not. Part of the issue is the lack of quality practice time that we've had. Yes, it's late in the year, but how much of the practice time have we missed. A play that you should make will be harder on you.

Offensively, I thought we did a good job all day. We hit a lot of balls right at people. It was a situation where we had some unfortunate things happen to us. The big difference is that we have to play defense.

Whenever you play good defense and get good pitching, you don't need to score a lot. If we keep playing like this, we're going to be tough to beat.

If he can keep making the progress that he has made and the trainers give him the OK, then it will be up to Kam if he wants to play. Even as coaches, we don't want him to play if he's not comfortable and confident on his knee.

Willie's done a great job. He's got his degree. He's already got a job lined up at a bank. He's going to be a loan officer. I'm real proud of him and what he's done.

I didn't think he would play.

We lost two, really three (days) because Wednesday was a wash.

We really get two weeks instead of three (after the dead period). It will be fast and furious.

Guys who go to junior college have to go to junior college for a reason. So for it to be in the middle of nowhere where there are no distractions ... that's not a bad thing. It's a good thing.

When he's in there, to a certain degree, they have to be aware of where he's at and they have to change their approach. We feel a lot better about being able to get pressure without blitzing or without stunting. He can line up and beat a guy.
