Pluto is a pit bull, and he must've been very well-trained at some point, but he had just lost everything. He didn't have the commands anymore.

Dean came and met him, and he started doing different things, and Pluto started responding. He was triggering this dog's memory.

I introduced her to as many new people as possible to help her realize that she is safe, no one is going to hurt her or abandon her.

We had someone come the other day, and Alice was meeting two dogs and wagging her tail, and she came up to this person very quickly. She is still cautious and a little shy but makes friends quickly. She is confident, healthy, happy, social and loyal. She comes immediately when called, can be walked off-leash, knows basic commands and is very well-behaved. It's so encouraging.

There were way too many turnovers. But they're a fast team, and they're very quick.

I've known her for about five years. I always heard her talk about her brother, sister and mom, but I thought they didn't exist. There was no info on them while she stayed here, so I thought she was just making them up.

They have made her whole life. She talks about them all the time. They send her care packages, which are probably the first things she had ever received by mail. The whole situation is surreal because I never knew these people existed.

If she was cornered or if you were trying to grab her collar, she would try to bite you. She was very frightened of new people. Anyone who came to meet her would not be able to get too close, thus she was not very adoptable.
