The two (goals) in the second period sort of changed the face of the game. But tonight wasn't our best overall effort.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

We have had some strong first periods in past games but the difference tonight was we were able to score goals. Getting the early goals was important tonight. Ben Bishop had a strong second period in which things could have turned. That was a big reason why we won the game. Tomorrow night will give us another opportunity and promises to be an exciting but challenging game.

We had two goals going into tonight's game. We wanted to win the game and get nobody hurt. We accomplished both of those goals. It was a team effort.

He put a lot of things in perspective for us, and it really energized the guys in the first period. We came out with four goals (in the first period) and a strong effort, and that was directly affected by Jordan giving us a speech before the game.

I thought we played a good second period. But from there it was downhill. We were giving them the puck and there were too many turnovers. We had a couple of big saves from Chris Mason in the third. We had bang-bang goals in the second period and Hartnell came up with the big goal at the end. It was a key goal for us. They sort of had us on our heels, they were coming hard, but we were able to get the big goal tonight when we needed it.
