In the early days ordsprog

In the early days of the DCC I preferred to let the proponents do their thing and then see how it all worked out in the end. Now we are pretty close to the end.

A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. I always like it as close to the middle (of the season) as possible. So I think it worked out well. It wasn't too early; that's the thing you don't want.

He's very close. He's the best judge of that. The last thing I want to do is have him go out three days too early and have a setback and miss two months.

People were looking forward to it. But I'm sure they'll understand. We always go there, from open to close both days, and they always have pretty big-name artists. But it's probably the right thing to do.

I close down early these days, around 7 in the evening. It surprises my children who have never seen me come home that early.

That was a very tough race. The timing of the safety car period worked to our advantage early on and we were in good shape. We were quick in the conditions, everything was going well and the strategy was well defined. Then we just decided to go onto dry tyres too early. It was a very close decision, but we took it together and we got it wrong.

We knew it would be a close game. We came out all fired up in the first. Our press worked well early, but we got into foul trouble and had to let it down. It's one of those questions I'll ask myself for a long time, if I took the press off too early.

I thought she had a little bit of an inconsistent day today. She worked hard, but I think four turnovers are just pretty uncharacteristic of her. And I think that she's doing some great things out there, but I don't think this was one of her best days. But hopefully she has many more good days in her.

The good thing was we had a win, which will boost the confidence of the players, and I thought it was a pretty good spectacle. It's early days and we can't take too much out of these games, so we've got our feet firmly on the ground.

I don't how to explain how I feel right now, I am pretty excited. The kids worked their butts off all week. They played four straight days and every day they have been at practice at 11:30 every day and worked for an hour and half. I am so proud of them. I think they wanted it more.

I'm so close mentally and physically. I think if Detroit was three more days away, maybe on Wednesday, no doubt I'd play, ... But it's just not game-ready right now. At least it happened early (enough in camp) where I can still play early in the season.

He's a veteran. It's a Rickey Henderson type of thing. If he's here in four days, he'll be four days early.

He's not quite there yet. There's no hidden agenda, none of that. ... He's got a little tightness and he'd rather give it a couple more days. I don't have any problem with that. The last thing I want to do is put him in there three days early and he has a setback and is out for two months.

It looks pretty close. Lighting is our biggest concern. But you can see they've made a lot of improvements. You can always bring in portable seats. The main thing is the atmosphere. You want people to come out early and do things like barbecue with their families. We want to make it a good atmosphere for college baseball.

His best days off are the early afternoon games. He's got to really work to get going in the early afternoon. That's pretty common, I think. Most guys will tell you that that day game is the hardest one to get ready for.
