en You always want to do that. But that wasn't necessarily the strategy. But I do think you're always trying to take it to the next level. We've been working on it for months. Hopefully if it sounds like a burst of good songs, that's fine. I'll take that.

en People have said to me that it sounds unusual and different, but I just hear the songs. That's all I'm really interested in. Writing good songs and making them sound as fresh and timeless as possible. You know, if you stumble on something new along the way that's great. But I'm not into new sounds just for the sake of it. I'm a songwriter.

en It just wasn't working out, ... When it was time to get some burst and move downhill, I couldn't do it.

en He's been solid since we picked him up. I think someone stepped on his toe or something so that's why he came out of the game. We put a little pad under it, so I think that's why he wasn't able to turn and push but he was fine coming back for the ball. But after that he didn't have that burst that he had in the first half.

en When the bubble burst it was clear some of that really extra money wasn't there anymore and so that required some extra effort on our part and a change in strategy. We received many more gifts than we anticipated.

en The biggest thing to me is that ['Version 2.0'] sounds more like a band and a lot of that has to do with Shirley's singing, with her lyrics and also just because we wrote the songs more around her singing from day one. Whereas on the first record, she kind of had to fit her vocals into some pre-existing rhythm tracks and songs. This time almost all the songs started with her, She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. The biggest thing to me is that ['Version 2.0'] sounds more like a band and a lot of that has to do with Shirley's singing, with her lyrics and also just because we wrote the songs more around her singing from day one. Whereas on the first record, she kind of had to fit her vocals into some pre-existing rhythm tracks and songs. This time almost all the songs started with her,

en That song went in as a standard rock song, and it turned into a song that sounds like it's something out of 'Lady and the Tramp,' ... It's got accordion and jazz flute on it. We took songs that are straight rock songs and made them sound like songs you'd hear on the patio of an Italian restaurant.

en If the songs are really good and the band sounds great, people are like, 'Hey, we've gotta go back and see that!'

en Over the past 12 months, we've done an exhaustive review on future strategy and growth strategy, and I'm confident Nike Inc.'s strategy is the right one. We will get some wind in the sails and create some energy for this company.

en It sounds like a good thing to me, but you don't necessarily want it blowing into your back yard. For now, I'm not totally sold on it.

en The new home sales rate has remained robust for a good many months already. Certainly adding to the level of sales in the past six-to-12 months has been a very favorable level of mortgage rates, which are basically hovering around 7 percent.

en Level-two students have the ability to handle songs that are harder. To higher level students I give different assignments, other songs and tests.

en Chris is coming to camp with a lot to prove, ... He's healthy and he wasn't quite right when we got him last year. He's been fine. He got off to a good start and played well. I can't talk about those things [interest in Joseph], because I don't know. We're happy with our goaltending. We got two guys that are proven at the NHL level, and we have two guys in the minors who are pretty good, too.

en It sounds crazy, but it gives me comfort. He wasn't like a member of my family, he was a member of my family. ... If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be working today. He totally changed my life around. I trusted him with my safety. It was just the most incredible, amazing experience.
