He's been solid since we picked him up. I think someone stepped on his toe or something so that's why he came out of the game. We put a little pad under it, so I think that's why he wasn't able to turn and push but he was fine coming back for the ball. But after that he didn't have that burst that he had in the first half.

The best thing was, with all that going on, Rachel had a great first half. She picked us up there and she did things on the board. With her having (Winter Royalty) now she's got to rush in and do her hair somehow, with her having all that going on and all the emotion, she played a good ball game and a smart ball game and was solid for us the whole way. Kudos to her because she was solid that way, she's our queen.

In the first half, we really maintained possession of the ball. We seemed to play more aggressively, but we were relaxed when we had the ball. After we scored, it seemed like we let down mentally, and we never picked the intensity back up the rest of the game. Pendleton has a solid team.

Not good goals, obviously a ball turned over early in the first half and Ryan Pore was able to get Jeff on the wrong foot and Tony was cheating a little bit, thinking that the ball was coming across and he got caught. Again, early in the second half, it was a tough goal to give up.

We had a heck of a first half. We were down eight, came back and took the lead at the half. At halftime I told them, 'They're going to come back. They're a quality team.' But we kind of went through the motions. We didn't push the ball. Was it anything they were doing? No. They weren't pressing us. We were content walking the ball up.

You've got to tweak your game to the rule changes. Now it's a flag if you turn into a guy while trying to make a play. It didn't used to be that way. I got flagged one time for turning my head. 'You didn't turn it away,' the official said. Now why would I want to turn away from a ball that was coming my way?

It was awful. I go back and look at film and I don't even recognize that team. We didn't push the ball. We didn't work hard. It wasn't us. It was very disappointing for all of us. It wasn't a good showing for Auburn.

It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. Obviously our defense wasn't very solid tonight, we can't give up 100 points to anybody and be successful. We came out flat in the first half and fought back in the second half but we dug ourselves a hole because we didn't get up and defend.

It is tough to win with some many turnovers. Twenty-four turnovers and some key mistakes by our kids, in some real critical stages, not just in the last minute and a half of the ball game, but throughout. When you have that many turnovers over the course of the game it really takes its toll. They turn it over 20 times, we turn it over 24. It wasn't a pretty game from that stand point. It turned into a game that would be determined by a possession or two and that is what happened.

If Army wants to push the ball, we'll push back. If the pace slows and there's a lot of six-on-six, we're fine with that, too.

That was fine. My team was playing hard. If we didn't turn the ball over like we did, we would have been in that game all the way.
