en He's a different kind of guy. He's a slasher. (Dave) was more of a speed guy. But we'll take another Fischer.

en He brings another dimension to the offense, because he's got the type of speed that we've lacked around here. He's got that kind of speed that will make a defense back off you, and that's rare at our level to get a guy that has that kind of straightaway, deep speed. They have to kind of know where he is on every play.

en We just kind of put out a dream list of mixers, and that included Dave and other such impossibilities, and assumed that nobody would bite — and Dave did.

en I said to them to step it up, raise your level of play and be more intense. The team responded, particularly the bench and Ryan Fischer. Fischer was sensational tonight, and he was finally playing point guard the way we need him to for our offense to be effective.

en Our heart goes out to Dave's family. Dave lived a great life that anyone could be proud of. He was one of best people I have ever known. He had a tremendous impact on our program based on the kind of person he was. He will be missed, but we are honored to have had the opportunity to know him.

en I think it's a wise pick. Dave is a Pitt guy. Dave has a commitment to this university. The excitement created since Dave came probably hasn't happened in, what, 20 years?

en Slasher movies are fun. You watch yourself get chopped to pieces, yet you're still alive. You see the blood on the ax and think, Holy **it, this is sick, but you kind of get over your fear of death.

en I know this was a difficult decision for Dave, ... From day one, Dave has been an invaluable and integral member of the Rox organization. He improved our business on a daily basis with his boundless energy and sense of humor. We wish Dave tremendous success in all his future endeavors.

en I've got this guy Dave Redondo that does beat boxing. The use of a DJ live has kind of become second nature. I thought, 'What can I do to get more of that hip-hop element?' It's kind of like two MCs going at the same time. On this trip we wanted to do something different. You've got to hear it to know what I'm talking about. It really works.

en You kind of dream about that kind of stuff. I went through in my mind that I had done it 1,000 times, crowd or no crowd. I pictured the ball going through the hoop in my routine. I knocked the first one in and Dave (Noel) kind of gave me a joke. He's always joking in pressure situations. And I knocked down the second one.

en I don't think we've seen that kind of speed at all this year. A couple quick players, but not team speed like that.

en When they see a pitcher with speed, especially speed on the first pitch, they get kind of nervous and they aren't use to the hard inside stuff. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.
