Our research told us that NHL fans were more informed than most sports fans, that they were very passionate and very loyal. Our rink is the best place to play in the league. We've gotten used to the smaller ice and it's a huge advantage to us. Our fans are the best fans in the league by far. They're vocal. They're in your face. I love playing here. I wouldn't want to play anywhere else.

A lot of the teams in your league that are averaging 3,000-to-5,000 fans would be a lot better off trying this league because of the expenses. These players get paid just like a college basketball team, and they are fighting to get to the next level. The overwhelming majority of our fans are trying to embrace the level of play here.

Our fans have been great. That crowd noise, people underestimate it, but it's important and our fans take a lot of pride in that, too. They're a part of this, they're a real part of this thing.
