If the price of oil stays high and our taxes along with it, I expect more jobs lost, more flights cut and more airlines in crisis.

Pricing is dynamic in this industry and we will price our flights based on our competition - both other airlines as well as other means of transport like the railways.

The government is trying to collect overdue taxes from oil companies to recover some lost taxes. And there is still some confusion about the government being in crisis.

[In other words, business travelers are behaving like leisure travelers to qualify for a better price. That puts the airlines, particularly the ailing network airlines, in a tight spot.] Profits are elusive, ... Airlines either need to raise fares, or the price of oil has to come down.

Here in Missouri we hear about those jobs being created, but they are newer jobs that replace the quality jobs being lost. What a different world it is for the generation behind us. They don't ever expect to be as affluent as we are, even though we are middle class.

The market's not big enough to support two flights, two different airlines with two flights per day.

The airlines included in the blacklist cannot operate flights in any French airport. Its publication is a warning to other airlines. If they're not rigorous enough, they could find themselves on the list one day or another.

We're always out talking to airlines, both our existing carriers and potential new ones. She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her laugh without trying to be funny. Our Customer's demand for travel to and from New Orleans is strong, and we are pleased to support New Orleans by adding more flights. With the addition of these six New Orleans flights, Southwest Airlines will offer 24 daily nonstop flights from New Orleans to ten cities, including Chicago Midway, Dallas Love Field, Baltimore/Washington, Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, Houston Hobby, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa Bay.

I expect more of the network airlines to do the same. Now that fuel is an issue, and other economics of the airline industry are pretty difficult, a lot of marginal flights are hard to justify. It's a prudent trimming of marginal routes.

The dollar is at an all-time low, and 3 million people lost their jobs. Last month, when the administration said we'd expect to see 150,000 new jobs created, we ended up seeing 1,000 -- a very lame performance.

As we battle the high price of fuel, cost efficiency will continue to be a top priority—not only for airlines but for every partner in the value chain including airports and air navigation service providers.
